About Indian

Indian was a Sligo band formed in the early 90s by Joe Hunt and Martin Harte who had been in a string of earlier Sligo bands including "Reverb" (1982), "Absolute Zero" (1983-86), "Sid & The Stonecrushers" (1986-87), "The Boy The Boy" (1986-1991), "Diesel Heart" (1991-94). They released their first EP Big Serious Band in 1992. They released their debut album Show Me That Chihuahua Again in 1996.

Pat McManus of Mama's Boys fame joined on guitar in 2003 while Indian were working on their second album “Blue Flowers” at Mid Atlantic studios in Enniskillen and was a full time member for a few years.

In 2016, on the 20th anniversary of the release of their debut album, Indian released their third studio album "Toads in Butterfly Clothes".

Indian played their final gig at Andersons Live in Sligo on 23rd December 2019.
