Joyrider were a 1990s band from Portadown, Co. Armagh. They were originally signed to Andy Cairns (Therapy?) label and released 2 EPs before signing to Paradox Records. As well as 4 EPs and 6 singles, they released an album in 1996 called Be Special.
The band consisted of Phil Woolsey (guitar, vocals), Cliff Mitchell (guitar), Simon Haddock (bass) and Keith Irwin, Buc Hamill / Carl Alty (drums).
After the demise of Joyrider, band member Phil Woolsey went on to form a band called Ninebar International and also was a member of Roque Junior and later Papa Luna.
