Their debut album, 'A Map of the Universe by Blink', was released in August 1994. The first two singles from the album, "Going to Nepal" and "Happy Day", reached the Top 20 in the Irish charts, with the third and final single, "It's Not My Fault", debuting at No. 8. They garnered college and mainstream radio airplay in the US and played live shows. In 1997 they terminated their contract with Parlophone and returned to the US and band signed with Paradigm Records and began recording their second album. 'The End Is High' was released in the US in March 1998. Billboard magazine named the album their album of the week upon its release. It went on to sell 90,000 copies and the band began receiving offers for support slots on larger tours. Between 1999 and 2004 Blink opened shows for Mercury Rev, Moby, Lloyd Cole, The Cardigans, Mark Geary and Blink-182.
A third album, 'Deep Inside the Sound of Sadness', was released in 2004.
In June 2013, lead singer and guitarist Dermot Lambert released his debut solo album, Tiny, featuring the singles "Twinkle Twinkle Satellite", "Hey Sean" and "Fade Into the Morning Sun".
Interestingly, the American band Blink-182 were originally called Blink and added the '-182' onto their name due to the Irish Blink having the name first.
