About Skellig
Skellig is an Irish one-man experimental metal project from Cork, created by musician Barry Murray who was previously a member of Five Will Die and Partholón. Blending elements of drone, sludge, and atmospheric black metal, the project explores bleak, nihilistic themes and dense, immersive soundscapes. Murray's main instrument is bass so Skellig's sound in based around the bass. Skellig's debut album Resonance of Our Dolmen was released in 2024, presenting a harsh yet introspective style rooted in isolation and existential imagery.
