About The Matinée Idles
The Matinée Idles was formed in Dublin by Kevin Barry after he released his debut solo album "Looking for Murphy" in 2008. In 2014 his second album (and first as The Matinée Idles), "A Festival of Colours", was released on his own record label "4 cats the baby & the bird". The name "The Matinée Idles" came from his love of film & the sound he goes for is "lyrically dark, atmospheric & cinematic".
