About Ernie Graham

Ernie Graham began his music career in Belfast with Tony & the Telstars, later relocating to England where he and guitarist Henry McCullough formed Eire Apparent. This band, known for its psychedelic sound, toured with Jimi Hendrix and released a notable album, but did not achieve major success. After McCullough left to form the Grease Band and Eire Apparent disbanded, Graham signed with UA/Liberty and recorded a critically acclaimed but commercially unsuccessful solo album with Brinsley Schwarz. The self-titled album was released in 1971.

Graham's career saw a brief resurgence with the band Help Yourself, but he left before their second album was finished. He later formed Clancy, which released two albums before disbanding. Graham retired from being a professional musician in the early 80s. Graham struggled with alcoholism and health issues in his later years and passed away in 2001. Despite his contributions to music, he remained largely forgotten until his 1971 album was reissued in Japan in 2002.
