About Ka tet
Ka tet were a three piece alternative rock band from Ballyhaunis, Co.Mayo and later based in Galway. They played some solid guitar rock with as much emphasis put on the vocal harmonies as the crunchy riffs and rhythms and were praised as a great live act and were gigging since around 2008. Their music has been compared to the likes of Queens Of The Stone Age and Kyuss. They released an album Arcadia in 2012. They released their final E.P. Surface Tension in 2016 and split that year. Tomás went on to a new band called Bury Me With My Money and Kyle joined a band called Bannered Mare.
The three creative minds in the group were:
- Rónán - Drums and backing vox
- Kyle - Bass and backing vox
- Tomás - Guitar and lead vox
