About Liam Ó Maonlaí

Liam Ó Maonlaí is a singer and multi-instrumentalist musician best known as the front-man of Hothouse Flowers. He has also released solo material and collaborated with other artists. Ó Maonlai first formed a band called The Complex with childhood friend Kevin Shields and drummer Colm Ó Cíosóig. Ó Maonlaí went on to form the Hothouse Flowers while the other two went on to form My Bloody Valentine.

In 2005 he released a solo album entitled Rían which is a collection of tunes and songs in Irish. A second solo album, To Be Touched, followed in 2008.

Ó Maonlai is also part of a trad group called Ré and he is an artist and actor as well as being a musician.
