Lotus Lullaby were a rock band from Cork, known for blending anthemic hooks with a modern electronic edge. Formed in Cork City in 2004, the group built a reputation for their emotionally charged sound — a mix of soaring melodies, driving guitars, and electronic textures — all wrapped around themes of resilience, loss, and transformation. Their music aimed to channel personal struggle into something uplifting and universal, a trait that helped them connect strongly with audiences at home and abroad.
The band’s lineup featured main songwriter Gavin Dunne on vocals, guitar, keyboards, and programming; Dave Divilly on guitar, programming, and backing vocals; John Coman on drums and percussion; and Connor Ryan on bass and vocals. Their chemistry on stage and in the studio helped shape a sound that was both introspective and powerful, appealing to fans of melodic rock with an electronic pulse.
Lotus Lullaby first gained attention with their early recordings, including a self-titled demo in 2004 and the Push E.P. in 2005, featuring standout tracks such as When It Feels So Good and The Miracle of Sound. The band soon began attracting label interest in the UK and US and earned critical recognition in Ireland, winning awards such as Murphys Live and The National Student Music Award. In 2006 they were signed to Religion Music after their demos caught industry attention.
After they disbanded in 2007, frontman Gavin Dunne went on to create music with his solo project Miracle of Sound which had viral online hits garnering multiple millions of followers on YouTube and streaming platforms.
