About Stella and the Dreaming
Stella and the Dreaming is a singer-songwriter project that combines intimate lyricism with sweeping emotional soundscapes. Drawing on personal memory, longing, and the textures of everyday life, Stella Hennessy weaves songs that often begin quietly—vulnerable piano or acoustic guitar—before swelling into powerful, cathartic crescendos. Her voice shifts between hushed confession and soaring intensity, creating a space where dreams, doubts and desire meet.
Stella made her debut in 2018 with the EP Amalfi, which introduced her raw, heartfelt style to listeners. After a period of relative quiet, she returned in 2024, with the single “Dreaming”, marking a new chapter toward her second EP titled A Study in Balance. She also released “In Another Life” in 2024.
Her work explores themes of identity, mental health, and transformation; momentary longing and introspection feature alongside questions of what it means to grow, heal, and keep hope alive. Her music resonates with listeners for its authenticity, vulnerability, and a sense of renewal.
