About Wyvern Lingo
Wyvern Lingo are a trio from Bray consisting of Caoimhe Barry (vocals, drums, guitar), Karen Cowley (vocals, synth, bass), and Saoirse Duane (vocals, guitar). Their music blends harmonising vocals with elements of R&B.
The trio, childhood friends, initially gained attention by collaborating with Hozier as backing vocalists and opening for him on tour. They made their TV debut on The Late Late Show and appeared on the songwriting series Other Voices. They were also featured with MCD Productions and participated in the Windmill Lane sessions.
Their debut album, released in 2018, was highly anticipated and received positive reviews, with standout tracks like "Subside" and "I Love You Sadie," the latter nominated for the RTÉ Choice Music Prize's "Song of the Year." Critics praised their ability to blend neo R&B, soul, and indie music with memorable hooks and haunting vocal melodies.
