About Black 47

Black 47 was a Celtic rock band formed in New York City in 1989 by Wexford native Larry Kirwan (vocals, guitar) along with Chris Byrne(uilleann pipes, tin whistle, bodhrán and vocals). The group disbanded in 2013.

Black 47 is one of the best bands to see live. Lead singer/songwriter Larry Kirwin puts his heart and soul into every song and every show.
