About Geriko

Geriko were a rootsy four piece rock band form Drogheda formed by four best friends, Kevin O’Brien, Podge Corcoran and Kevin Sheridan and Brian Connolly. They have cited influences such as the influences of Zeppelin, Rory Gallagher and The Band. They played small local venues as well as the more well known venues like Whelans, The Voodoo lounge, Eamon Dorans, The Spirit Store and The Roisin Dubh.

2006 was successful year for the band with the release of their debut EP ‘Bagfull of Sins’ which received good airplay and positive reviews from local and national press throughout the country.

Singer Brian Connolly announced his departure in 2007 but the band continued on as a trio.

In 2013 the started recording material for an album. They continued working on it in 2014 and released some tracks online. Following this the band's activity fizzled out but they released the album on Bandcamp in 2017.
