Perfect swellings, slowburns, sedated distorting chaos and tickeling wrapped around vocals make for an evening spent with the music of Katie Kim.
Formerly an original member of Dae Kim, she departed from the band to work on her own material that she had been writing. Her birth name is actually Katie Sullivan but she adopted the name Katie Kim whilst a member of Dae Kim and carried the name on after she left that band.
While a computer mishap wiped over 50 finished tracks and 3 years of blood and tears a new and butterflied sound emerged to reveal "Twelve", her debut album. Twelve was released in 2008 and received high praise upon its release.
Following her debut, she released Vaults (2010), Cover & Flood (2012), Salt (2016), Salt Interventions (2018), Charles / VVII (2020) and Hour of the Ox (2022).
In 2018 she collaborated with Radie Peat of Lankum and this lead to the project ØXN which released the acclaimed album CYRM in 2023.
