The Woods Band was formed by husband and wife team Gay & Terry Woods, both from Dublin, shortly after the couple had left Steeleye Span due to personal disagreements with members. They performed under the name "Gay & Terry Woods" as well as "The Woods Band" in the 70s. Their releases include the album The Woods Band in 1971, the single The Time Is Right in 1974 and the album Tender Hooks in 1978. Terry Woods reformed The Woods Band with different members in 2001 and released an album Music From The Four Corners of Hell in 2002. Terry Woods has been in quite a few different Irish folk and rock bands including Sweeney's Men, Orphanage, Dr. Strangely Strange and The Pogues.
