Telefís was a collaboration between of Cathal Coughlan (Microdisney, Fatima Mansions) and composer/mixer/producer Jacknife Lee (a.k.a Garret Lee ex-Compulsion). A timely re-introduction by a mutual friend led to the two spending 2020 trading ideas and musical files from their respective bases in London and LA during the lockdown, hatching plans for a satirical, mischievous examination of Irish history and the TV pop culture of their lifetimes, which the two have labelled ..” a corrosive nostalgia.” The output of their collaboration was 2 albums, A hAon and A Dó, released in 2022.
